Following German roots, the annual BLN Restaurants & Caterings’ Christkindlmarkt has become a well known Christmas celebration and symbol of the start of the Christmas in Shanghai. This year during the first December weekend, the garden area of 150 Fen Yang Road will once again transform into an authentic German Christmas Market, bringing both local backgrounds and westerners to a Christmas celebration back to Germany.
This time, more than over 60 carefully selected vendors will be offering a unique dining and shopping experience in hand-crafted, lovely decorated wooden huts. Attendees will get enchanted by the atmospheric lighting, festive musical sounds of the season, the alluring smell of hot spiced home-made Glühwein and sizzling Bavarian sausages while strolling through a merry winter wonderland. In addition, the unique “Glühbeer”, a dark Christmas wheat beer whose foam will be caramelized with a glowing metal rod, will be once again served in a cozy wooden hut located in the beer garden area of Paulaner @ Fen Yang Road.
Besides delicious and wintry edible treats, vendors will sell many different goods to satisfy those gift seekers, including creative gifts, real Christmas trees and wreaths, holiday greeting cards, German Christmas ornaments and decoration, special artisanal items and handicrafts as well as accessories and ornaments.
Entrance Fee: RMB 30 per person, Children below 10 years old are free of charge
