A modern take of the classic Yangtze Delta Cuisine
Spanning several floors, Dian Shui Lou is the only up-scale Chinese Restaurant in the Cai He Gin Hi-Tech Park.
Dian Shui Lou originates from Taiwan and has won acclaim for its modern take on the classic foods of the Yangtze River Delta. In 2010, Dian Shui Lou became the only restaurant in Taiwan awarded 5 stars by the North Taiwan Restaurant Evaluation.
In 2012, it won the reputation of Taiwan’s best 10 restaurants from the Cross-Strait Food Culture Forum, and also ranked among the top 10 restaurants by an online survey run by Taiwan Food Month.
Dian Shui Lou was brought to Shanghai in 2012, opening its first venue on the Chinese Mainland. The spacious venue is perfect for large groups or intimate dinners in any one of the several private dining rooms.
Focusing on quality ingredients and fresh seafood, Dian Shui Lou serves an interpretation of Jiang Nan Cuisine (literally: “south of the river”), paying homage to the culinary influence of the Chinese who came to Taiwan from the region of the Yangtze River Delta in 1949.
Dian Shui Lou marries the tastes and styles of Jiang Nan Cuisine with Shanghai’s homestyle Benbang cooking through refined culinary techniques by our classically skilled chefs, which allows for milder flavors with notably less spice. In addition traditional Taiwanese dishes have been introduced to customers lately. Many signature dishes such as Chicken with Ham and Mushroom Casseroleor savory Pork Belly are slow cooked to develop rich flavors. Other ingredients, including seafood, are simply prepared to highlight the quality and purity of each ingredient.
